The short of it: The brokerage AI arms race has begun, with major real estate companies rolling out AI tools aimed at giving their agents a competitive edge. Keller Williams has been quietly adding AI capabilities to its Command CRM, with the latest allowing agents to generate ad campaigns using ChatGPT integration through a partnership with Desygner for $9.99 per month. The details:
Chris Cox, KW's Chief Technology and Digital Officer, says "patiently innovating on proprietary technology" differentiates KW from other franchisors. KW also partners with other firms such as Desygner and DataRobot on AI analytics applications.
Besides Keller Williams, brokerages like Redfin, Re/Max, Compass, & eXp Realty are all investing in AI tools.
Re/Max has built machine learning models like "First Mover Score" to identify contacts likely to list their homes soon. (link)
Compass offers a "Likely to Sell" tool that forecasts when a client may be inclined to sell based on public data. (link)
eXp Realty is leveraging AI to enhance agent support and productivity. (link)
The impact: As AI capabilities become more widespread, brokerages hope to gain an edge by empowering agents with time-saving tools for tasks like generating ads, identifying prospective sellers, and streamlining workflows. The AI arms race is on as companies race to develop and integrate the latest artificial intelligence.
The catch? These companies have to make these tools actually good. If these tools save agents time and bring results (leads), they could change the game.
